Health and Safety Committee
Effective and functional safety committee can make significant changes to safety. Safety committee is a function of representatives from both sides; employer and employee. What have been raised, discussed, and agreed upon in the safety committee meetings shall be recorded, and communicated to the employee within 7 days of the meeting. What employer agree to take or not take action for rectifying safety issues must be reported to the Labour Department. Therefore, Safety Committee is required by laws and it is the great way to improve employee engagement in safety. Do it right, do it effectively.
