The “Daily Sync” Structure

To keep these meetings under 15 minutes, every team member should answer three specific questions:

• What did I finish yesterday? (Accountability for the previous “Action Lock”).
• What is my primary directive today? (Clarity on the current priority).
• Are there any blockers in my way? (Identifying friction early).

Supervisory Best Practices for Daily Syncs

• Stand Up (Literally): If in person, standing keeps the meeting short. If remote, cameras should be on to maintain visual engagement.
• The “Parking Lot” Rule: If a topic requires a deep dive, “park” it. Do not solve complex problems during the sync; schedule a separate follow-up meeting for those involved.
• Rotate the Facilitator: To build leadership skills, let different team members lead the sync each week. This reinforces Shared Ownership.
