Occupational Safety, Health and Environment Act B.E. 2554 (2011)
Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare had been established in the year B.E. 2536. Later in the year B.E. the name of this governmental authority had been changed to Ministry Of Labour in B.E. 2545.
The Occupational Safety, Health and Workplace Environment Act B.E. 2554 set standards for not only employers, but employees and associated persons to play their roles in making workplace safe and healthy.
“executive” means an employee from the managerial level or higher in the working unit. “Supervisor” means an employee who performs duties
in controlling, supervising, commanding or ordering other employees to work in according to the function of the working
unit.
Ministerial Regulations issued by Ministry of Labour always being updated. It is highly recommended that the employer shall monitor the movement of the laws to ensure compliance.
