1. Verify Their Authority
Request Identification: Not all officers have the authority to demand a drug test. Ask to see the ID card of the Narcotics Control Officer (บัตรเจ้าพนักงาน ป.ป.ส.).
Check the Location: Legally, a urine test should be conducted at a police station, a hospital, or a designated checkpoint with a ranking officer present (Sub-Lieutenant or higher). Do not agree to test in a “dark corner” or an unofficial spot.
2. Your Right to a “Clean” Process
Inspect the Kit: Ensure the testing kit is new and sealed.
Witness the Sample: Keep the container in your sight at all times. Do not let the officer take the urine cup away to a private room without you.
