Fire Prevention and Control Act B.E. 2542 (1999) mainly prescribes what the municipal authority should do and should have to prevent and control fire in their jurisdiction area. Section 6 of this law empowered the government authority to issue regulation, notices, etc. Violation to that can be 1 year in jail or 20,000 THB fine or both.
